Artist Statement

My art represents a transformation of the mundane and commonplace. I explore the relationship between raw materials and industrial influences, seeking inspiration from the factory environments of the 1960s. Through repetition and woven patterns, I create unique pieces utilizing materials like MDF board and plywood. Drawing from my experience as a pastry chef, I treat the transformation of these materials as a form of internal meditation, providing a sense of calm and self-reflection. By promoting a positive change in the perception of industrial materials, I aspire to create a new appreciation and understanding of their uses in art.
